It's very nice to have been asked to contribute a Canadian lit pick to 49th Shelf's 150 for 150 list. Many good reads here, from Richard Wagamese to Connie Gault. I ended up going with a lesser-known Elizabeth Hay book, Small Change, whose stories affected me powerfully. Even more now that I've met and interviewed her.
I'm the author of My Name is a Knife, All True Not a Lie In It, and The Old Familiar.
